I’ve been living in Hinesburg for two years. In that time I have lost power a few times. I thought this article would be helpful to all of my breastfeeding mothers. . What do you do when the power goes out and you have a freezer full of precious breast milk (that you would give your right arm to save, lol) Anyhow I hope this article helps! I refer to this website from time to time. This is a wonderful resource for all parents.

Thank you Tanya…really helpful article. During last power outage before Christmas I did end up throwing out my frozen supply as I was not sure what was considered safe to do and I did not have time to research as I was headed out of state for the holidays…..luckily there was not much supply dumped….so thanks for this info as I will know what to do for the storms ahead as I printed this article and put it with my pumping gear for reference!
Hi Cathy, I’m glad that you liked this post and found it helpful! Actually that power outage before Christmas was when I got the idea for this post. I try to touch upon different issues that would be helpful to all of my first-time parents. I remember just how scared I was the first time around. Even the second time around new things happened that didn’t the first time.
